Reporting to the Director of Human Resources of XMedius, the Human Resources Advisor is responsible for managing, in part, the recruitment process in the United States. The position is based in Bothell. He or she works with the HR team to produce, adapt and revise policies affecting all employees. He or she will also work in collaboration with the HR team, based in Montreal.


  • Partly manage the staffing process in the United States (posting, pre-selection, pre-interview, checking references, drafting contracts, coordinating employees’ onboarding and orientation, probation period follow-up);
  • Contribute to implementing and maintaining the HRIS;
  • Contribute to developing and implementing recruitment tools and best practices;
  • Carry out probation follow-up, conduct exit interviews and close employee files;
  • Oversee administrative aspects of human resources management: maintaining files and updating certain documents (organizational charts, policies, procedures, letters, etc.);
  • Do payroll in a relief capacity (in extraordinary circumstances only);
  • Maintain various files (training, attendance, vacation time, health and safety);
  • Records employee wage & salary structure;
  • Help organize social events;
  • Main point of contact for HR related issues/concerns;
  • Performance management;
  • Coach managers on different topics (disciplinary, management);
  • Maintains employee training records;
  • Assists managers with the selection and contracting of external consultants/contractors;
  • Participates in the conduct of investigations when employee complaints or concerns are brought forth;
  • Keep abreast of legislation, best practices and trends relating to HR nationally;
  • Carry out all other administrative tasks.


  • Bachelor's degree in business or another relevant field required;
  • Active HR certification (PHR, SPHR, etc.) preferred;
  • Two or three years’ experience in human resources;
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Disciplined approach to work organization and time management Self-reliance;
  • Must be able to effectively collaborate with all levels of management and employees;

  • Ability to interact positively and productively (written and verbal communications) across the organization;
  • Must have initiative, be resourceful and able to work independently.
